The Clio Collective exists to support and enrich each family's homeschool journey—not replace it. We respect the right of parents to make educational, behavioral, and parenting decisions for their own children while providing opportunities for learning, growth, and community.

The Clio Collective is built on the belief that learning is stronger when families participate together. Our parent-participation model helps keep classes affordable while creating opportunities for parents to learn, grow, and build community right alongside their children.
Safety
The safety of our families is a top priority. All registered parents, guardians, instructors, and adult participants are required to complete a background check before participating in co-op activities. Prospective families also complete an interest applicationto help ensure they understand and support our co-op's expectations, values, and policies.
About Us
📚✨The Clio Collective! ✨📚 The Clio Collective is a homeschool enrichment co-op in Clio, Michigan, where children can explore new interests, build practical skills, make friends, and learn alongside other homeschool families. We offer a variety of hands-on enrichment classes in a welcoming, family-friendly environment. Our goal is to provide opportunities for children to learn, create, collaborate, and grow while respecting parents as their children's primary educators. The Clio Collective is a neutral homeschool co-op, meaning we are not affiliated with any church or specific religion. We do not promote religious or political viewpoints and trust parents to make those important decisions for their children. We welcome both secular and faith-based families and strive to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable. Our focus is on building community, forming friendships, and giving children opportunities to learn together. We encourage everyone to treat one another with courtesy, kindness, and respect, creating a positive environment for children and families from a variety of backgrounds. Please note: The Clio Collective is not a drop-off co-op. Parents are expected to remain involved and participate in our co-op community. 📅Second Semester: January–May 2027 Fridays 11 AM - 2 P M We’re planning an exciting lineup of classes for our second semester, with options for a variety of ages and interests! Planned classes include: - PE/Gym — Movement, exercise, and active play for ages 5–9 and 10–15 - Spanish — Language learning for ages 10–15 - First Aid & Survival Skills — Practical life skills for ages 10–15 - Art— Creative exploration for all ages - Mystery Basket Challenge — Hands-on food challenges that encourage creativity and problem-solving in the kitchen, for ages 5–9 and 10–15 - Geography: Global Goodies— Explore countries, cultures, and snacks around the globe for ages 7–15 - Sensory Seekers — Sensory-based exploration and activities for ages 5-9 We also offer: 🎉 Holiday Parties & Special Events 🚌 Field Trips 🍟 Teen Night 💕 Friendship Club 👣 Walking Club 😊 Class Photos & Yearbook Do you think your family would be a good fit? Who can join?
Families with students from ages 5-15.
Is this a drop-off program?
No. The Clio Collective is a parent-participation co-op. Parents or designated guardians are required to remain on-site for the duration of their children's scheduled classes. Parents are welcome to complete their participation requirements or wait for their student somewhere onsite.
Why are parents required to stay?
We believe parents are an important part of the co-op experience. Parent participation helps keep costs affordable, supports classroom activities, and helps create a safe and welcoming environment for all families.
How Much Does Co-op Cost?
Class pricing is based on factors such as facility expenses, liability insurance, supplies, and materials required for each course. Current tuition rates range from $4–$6 per class session, depending on the class. To reserve a student's spot and allow for advance planning and supply purchases, tuition for the entire semester is due in full at the time of class registration.
Is There a Registration Fee?
Yes. To help cover background checks, our family co-op app, and online payment processing fees, The Clio Collective charges a registration fee each year. New Families: $30 per family, returning Families: $10 per family. The registration fee is separate from class tuition and helps offset the costs associated with enrolling and maintaining a safe, organized co-op environment.
Can my child attend only one class?
Yes! Families may register for as many or as few classes as they would like, provided space is available.
Is this a faith-based co-op?
No, as a neutral enrichment co-op, we will not intentionally teach or promote political or religious viewpoints. We recognize that these topics involve deeply personal beliefs and convictions, and we respect parents as the primary educators and decision-makers for their children. We believe these discussions are best guided by each family at home according to their own values and beliefs.
Do you offer field trips?
Yes! We offer educational field trips, special events, holiday parties, and additional enrichment opportunities throughout the year.
Are parents required to teach?
No, parents are never required to teach! We simply ask that parents stay involved and participate regularly to help keep our co-op running smoothly and create a great experience for all our families.
How do I join?
Prospective families should complete our Interest Application. Due to limited class sizes, completing an application does not guarantee enrollment. Applications are reviewed to help ensure a positive fit for our co-op community.
Where is The Clio Collective located?
We value the privacy and safety of all of our families, so we don’t publicly post our exact meeting location. Once you’ve filled out an interest form, we’ll be happy to share the location details with you! Our classes are held in a neutral building, giving our families a comfortable space to learn, connect, and enjoy time together. Unlike many homeschool co-ops, The Clio Collective is not affiliated with or hosted in a church.
