What if my families are used to Homeschool-Life.com?
Honestly — most families barely log in until they need something. HomeschoolGo's member portal is cleaner and more modern, and families don't need a tutorial to navigate it. The coordinator bears most of the transition; families typically don't notice beyond 'it looks nicer now.'
Will I lose class history and grades?
The migration assistant imports your family roster and student list. Historical class records from Homeschool-Life.com don't have a standard export format, so those would need to be re-entered if you want them in HomeschoolGo — or you can keep your Homeschool-Life.com account as an archive while running HomeschoolGo for the current year. Most coordinators go this route for the transition year.
What about the SMS limit — 500/month, is that enough?
For most co-ops, yes comfortably. If your co-op has 40 families and you send one announcement per week, that's 40 messages × 4 weeks = 160 messages/month. The 500/month ceiling covers co-ops sending frequent updates to 100+ members. If you ever need more, reach out — we'll work something out.
We're mid-year. Should we wait?
You can run HomeschoolGo in parallel with Homeschool-Life.com through the end of the year — that's what the 60-day trial is designed for. Many coordinators use the spring to set everything up so they're ready to launch to families at the start of fall semester.
