Most co-ops make it work with a group chat and a spreadsheet.

That holds until registration opens, someone asks who paid dues, or a field trip gets rescheduled at 9pm. HomeschoolGo is for co-ops that want the recurring work in one dependable system, not another app to babysit.

The jobs stay the same. The handoffs between apps are what we remove.

Online Payments

Stop chasing dues. Start collecting them.

Connect your co-op's Stripe account and collect class fees, enrollment fees, and dues by card. The money goes into your account. HomeschoolGo takes no cut.

  • Families pay by card, online.

Checkout opens in a browser. Families pay before the first day of class — no envelopes, no Venmo reminders.

  • Payments land in your Stripe account — not ours.

We connect to your co-op's own Stripe account and take no cut of what families pay you.

  • Receipts carry your co-op's name.

Stripe sends a branded receipt with your co-op's name. Families never see HomeschoolGo on their statement.

  • See who's paid at a glance.

Every family has a running balance. Paid, pending, and overdue — all in one view, no spreadsheet needed.

About

Built by someone who sits in both chairs.

HomeschoolGo was started by a homeschool dad who's spent the last decade and a half shipping mission-critical Fortune 500 software. The goal isn't a flashy startup demo. It's a system co-ops can trust on registration night, billing week, and the morning a class gets canceled.

No per-seat pricing

One flat annual fee covers your whole co-op, regardless of size.

Your data, always

Full roster and records export any time. No exit fee, no lock-in.

Purpose-built for co-ops

Designed from scratch around how a homeschool co-op actually runs, not adapted from something else.

Switching from Homeschool-Life.com?

Export your roster, review the AI-mapped preview, and import when you're satisfied. Your Homeschool-Life account stays untouched through the 60-day trial.

FAQ

Common questions

Don't see yours? Start the trial and poke around.

We’re already on Homeschool-Life.com. Why would we switch?

Totally fair question. Here’s what you’d actually gain. Collect dues and class fees by card through Stripe, so families pay online and you stop chasing Venmo payments and tracking envelopes. Send instant text alerts to all families when class is canceled, a field trip reminder goes out, or an announcement drops. No more hoping everyone sees the Facebook post. Attendance, registration, the member directory, and the calendar live in one system instead of spread across tabs and spreadsheets. The migration itself takes minutes, not a weekend: export your roster from Homeschool-Life.com, drop the file in, and our AI maps every column. You review a clean preview before anything saves, and your Homeschool-Life.com account keeps running through the full 60-day trial. No bridges burned.

We have years of records on Homeschool-Life.com. Won’t switching be a nightmare?

This is the exact problem we built the Migration Assistant to solve. Export your families from Homeschool-Life.com with one click (we’ll show you exactly which button). Drop the file into HomeschoolGo. Our AI recognizes the Homeschool-Life.com format, reads every column, and shows you a preview of your entire roster before anything is saved. Nothing touches your live co-op until you click Import. The AI mapping step itself finishes in seconds. The rest is you reviewing the result. And your Homeschool-Life.com account stays exactly as it is: keep it running in parallel through our 60-day free trial until you’re sure. No bridges burned, no weekend lost, no families left behind.

What if the import gets something wrong?

You see every family and every student before anything saves to your live roster. If something looks off, back out. Your co-op is still exactly as it was. You can re-upload, re-review, and try again. And if you hit a limit while you’re tweaking, we’ll show you a friendly message with exactly what to do next. Your uploaded file waits for you for seven days, so you can pause, finish dinner, and come back to pick up right where you left off.

Do families and admins log in the same way?

Families use household-friendly logins for the member portal. Admins use separate credentials (and granular permissions) so no one’s sharing one super-user password.

Can we host bylaws, medical forms, and handbooks?

Yes. Upload documents, publish FAQs and custom pages, and organize links, so “where’s the allergen form?” has one obvious answer.

How does the 60-day free trial work?

When you sign up, you get 60 days of full access. Every feature, no credit card required. Build your roster, set up your calendar, invite families, and run your first events. If HomeschoolGo isn’t the right fit, walk away. You’ve lost nothing but a little setup time. If it is, pick a plan ($199/yr Essentials or $299/yr Plus) and keep going. A couple of weeks of real use — building the roster, running a class, sending an announcement — is usually enough to tell.

Which plan should I pick?

Start on Essentials ($199/yr) if your co-op collects dues offline (Venmo, checks, cash). Pick Plus ($299/yr) if you want Stripe payment collection, bulk invoicing with emailed receipts, class fee management, and SMS notifications, with up to 500 outbound messages per month included. Each SMS to a family member counts as one message. You can upgrade from Essentials to Plus any time. You pay the prorated difference.

Why annual billing?

Co-ops budget by school year, so HomeschoolGo is billed annually: one flat rate, no per-family fees, no surprise charges. It’s simpler for treasurers and keeps pricing predictable all year.

How do payments work?

On Plus, card payments run through Stripe. Families see balances and history; admins create charges and track who’s paid, without ever handling card numbers directly. Essentials co-ops collect dues the same way they always have.

What about photos and the member directory?

Photo albums and a searchable directory are included. You control how much appears (e.g. photos on/off) to match your group’s privacy comfort level.
